Long Yuxiang Met with Former Prime Minister of ROK Hwang Kyo-ahn in PyeongChang

On Feb. 9, member of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the CPPCC National Committee, executive chairman of China International Cultural Communication Center Long Yuxiang met with former Prime Minister of ROK Hwang Kyo-ahn in PyeongChang and attended the PyeongChang Winter Olympics opening ceremony together.
Long Yuxiang has been served as vice president of China-ROK Economic Development Association of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and he has made a lot of work for the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and ROK and the development of China-ROK relations. Old friends are very glad to meet each other again.
“I am very happy to attend the opening ceremony of PyeongChang Winter Olympics”, said Mr. Long Yuxiang. As the country’s important window for cultural exchanges with the world, China International Cultural Communication Center has always been adhering to promote the heart connection through the cultural exchanges, over the years, CICCC has carried on friendly exchanges and cooperation with politics, business, education, sports, cultural art and other related circles of ROK. On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and ROK, President Xi Jinping pointed out in his message to President Yin, that with the joint efforts of the both sides, the relations between the two countries have developed comprehensively, the exchanges and cooperation in various fields have achieved remarkable results, which has brought tangible benefits to the two peoples, and also made a positive contribution to regional peace and development. Long Yuxiang said, sincerely hope that through the PyeongChang Winter Olympics and the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics could further promote the two countries cooperation in culture, education, sports, economic and other aspects and deepen the traditional friendship between the two peoples. CICCC will continue to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with friends from all walks of life in ROK.
Hwang Kyo-ahn welcomed Long Yuxiang attending the winter Olympics in PyeongChang, and highly praised the contributions that Long Yuxiang and CICCC under his leadership has been achieved in promoting China and the world, especially China and ROK in culture, education, economy, sports and other fields over the years, he said, China and ROK has a long history of exchanges, the proximity of the two countries determines a lot of common ground between each other, the convergence of interests also determines that the two countries need to work together to build solid value coordinates. We sincerely hope that through the hosting of the winter Olympics, we will further enhance the exchanges and interactions between the two peoples and promote the friendly relations between the two countries to a new level.
